Biggest single day gain for Sensex since July 20
Seems like a tennis match is being played. The other day, the ball was in bear's court. Today, it was a non-stop Bull run.Glad, the market recovered most of the Monday's losses.Bank of India was the biggest gainer today in my portfolio, successfully managed to recover the monday's fall

11/09/2006 --- A day to remember
In addition to the surprise 368 points crash on BSE sensex, this day is being remembered for 2 other events:
1> Satyagraha movement completes 100 years
2>5 years of 9/11 terrorist attack on the WTC
1> Satyagraha movement completes 100 years
2>5 years of 9/11 terrorist attack on the WTC
Carnage at Dalal Street
Surprise, Surprise !!!
A correction in the markets were expected. But, it will happen today !!! Atleast, I was one of those optimistic investors looking forward for that 12K figure. Hope, the market rises again tommorrow.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
The markets plunged on account of heavy selling in scrips across sectors. The fall was in line with Asian peers. It was the biggest single-day loss for Sensex and Nifty since July 17.
The Sensex closed at 11,550.69 down 368 points. The Nifty lost 105 points to close at 3,366.
The BSE Small Cap Index lost 3.4 per cent to close at 5,829.30.
The BSE Midcap Index lost 3.4 per cent to close at 4,871.46.
All the BSE sectoral indices closed in the negative terrain.
...............................................
Thanks to the ex-split rise of Hotel Leela, I managed to bail-out of this surprise crash. Wondering, what's up tommorrow!!! Is it buy time again ???
Although most of my securities have lost their gains.
